Context
Land purchases, such as building plots, paddocks, woodland and farmland, sit outside standard residential lending. Fewer lenders offer them, and terms often depend on planning status and intended use.
This snapshot counts only how many directory listings say they handle land. It does not measure demand, lender appetite or completed loans. A region with no land listings may still be served by brokers based elsewhere, since many work remotely across the UK.
The figures are a floor, not a census. Brokers who handle land but have not ticked it on their listing are not counted.
Methodology
Snapshot taken on 22 Oct 2026 with a read-only query of the broker directory database. It counts public listings only: unclaimed and verified listings. Listings under review, hidden or awaiting enrichment are excluded.
A broker counts towards land brokers when its listing ticks that specialism. Counts are a floor, not a census: brokers who do this work without ticking it are not counted. Regions come from the region recorded on each listing.
This is directory data, not advice. It describes listings, not the quality or suitability of any broker.
