I had a very disappointing experience. The costs presented to me at the start were significantly lower than what I was ultimately required to pay. While I understand that fees can be estimates, the final amount was far beyond what I felt was reasonably communicated or justified. In addition, delays in the process—despite me responding promptly—resulted in extra interest and Help to Buy charges that I had to absorb myself. Given that I was paying substantial professional fees specifically to manage the process and timelines, this was extremely frustrating. Communication around responsibility and final figures was unclear, with differing explanations from the broker, lender, and solicitor. I only became aware of certain discrepancies because I actively queried them myself. Overall, I was left feeling that the service did not reflect the cost, transparency was lacking, and the risk was unfairly passed on to me as the customer. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this service gets all costs and responsibilities confirmed in writing in detail upfront and closely monitors the process themselves.

I contacted RSC as my fixed rate mortgage is coming to an end. I was called back on the day I made contact, discussed my situation, and, after checking the offer from my current lender it was ascertained that a better rate could not offered. Despite this, the service was quick, efficient, my questions were all answered and I am now confident I have a realistic product offer from my current lender.
