We used Safeguard following a recommendation from Persimmon Homes and couldn’t be happier with the service. Samantha spent two hours with us on a Sunday helping secure our Mortgage in Principle and explaining everything clearly, especially around affordability. She was patient, knowledgeable and genuinely lovely to deal with. Once our case moved to Chris, he was super friendly and easy to talk with he worked hard to find the right mortgage product for our budget. As a working couple with two children, flexibility was really important, and Chris regularly helped us after hours even after 8pm which made a huge difference. There where other members of staff I would like to mention but I have forgotten there names but genuinely Every member of the team we spoke to was friendly and approachable, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. All advice was clear and completely free of charge. A fantastic company to deal with, we’d highly recommend them.

We honestly couldn’t fault our mortgage advisor Chris. He was incredibly helpful, quick, and efficient from start to finish. He even took the time to call us out of hours to go through things, which made such a difference with us having a toddler. He really put us at ease and explained everything clearly, making the whole process feel quick and stress-free. On top of that, he was genuinely lovely to deal with. We’re so glad we had his support and would highly recommend him.

Absolutely amazing service whoever I spoke to. Nyomi was my case Manager and she was fantastic. Really supportive and helped me with various obstacles I came across. She went above and beyond and without her I don't believe that finally purchasing my house would of been possible. I highly recommend Safeguard Financial and can't thank them enough. I had the worst experience with Safeguards Financial Advisors, specifically with a staff member named Chelsey. From mid-September, Chelsey was handling mortgage searches for me and my husband and repeatedly reassured us that she would find a suitable lender for us. Over four months, we were dragged from one bank to another — Barclays, then Skipton, then NatWest — with nothing but delays and excuse after excuse. Each time, we were told to wait a bit longer and were constantly reassured that things were progressing, when clearly they were not. Chelsey was also very self-opinionated and dismissive. At one point she even suggested I should just go with another offer “where your offer is ready,” despite the fact that I had already told her I had another offer but chose to prioritise Safeguards Financial Advisors out of trust and loyalty. What made this even worse is that at the beginning we were told a £23,000 deposit was sufficient, and we were reassured multiple times. After months of delays, we were suddenly told we now needed £47,000 to proceed — completely unrealistic and never mentioned at the start. This put us at serious risk of losing the property we had saved every penny for. In the end, Chelsey’s final response was simply that she “unfortunately couldn’t help” or that we should look for a cheaper property — which is ridiculous, considering I have now received a mortgage offer from Skipton for the same property. My advice to this company is simple: if you can’t help people, don’t take responsibility for their case and waste months of their time. This experience caused unnecessary stress, delays, and could have cost us our home. I am extremely disappointed with the service and do not recommend Safeguards Financial Advisors to anyone.

We recently used Safeguard for our mortgage as first time buyers. Chris Waller provided us with great service, was very understanding from the start as we did have a few changes.
