I've just secured my first house all thanks to the help of John at JP Mortgages. He came to my house for our first visit and explained everything in detail so I knew what to expect. From the very start he was supportive and professional, always at the end of the phone whenever I had any questions and very proactive in getting things done. Once I found a property and wanted to make an offer, JP dealt with it all. I didn't have to lift a finger! He spoke to the Estate Agents on my behalf about the offer, chased them for updates weekly, continued to express to them my interest in the property, as well as my position on the housing market, and sorted out all the paperwork for a speedy completion. He got me a fantastic deal on my mortgage making it very affordable. He also put me in touch with a couple companies he works with for House and Life Insurance and I've gone with them both due to the great deals they provided me. I would definitely recommend John at JP Mortgages, he's simply the best!!!

This company recently moved to Batley, and they are the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I paid a £500 deposit for a simple remortgage and provided my Equifax credit score along with all the required documentation. Despite this, they failed to check the credit report properly. Apparently, there was a default due to a bank account that had no money deposited or withdrawn, with unpaid monthly bank charges of £3. This minor issue was cited as the reason for their difficulty in arranging a buy-to-let remortgage. Instead, they offered me a £6,000 bridging finance. We had to chase them weekly, and they never seemed to know who we were or which property we were inquiring about. Every conversation felt like starting from scratch. After more than six months, it became clear that John and his staff were not competent and should not be advising people on financial matters. I have reported this to the FCA. Fortunately, we found a broker in Preston. He visited us, and from his first visit to having the money in our account took only 15 days—exactly what we had expected JP Mortgages to achieve.
