We were sent to Mortgage Decisions as part of our shared ownership journey and ended up dealing with Gavin. He took one look at our situation and straight away said we wouldn’t get a mortgage, without even doing a credit check. Luckily, we didn’t just take his word for it. We spoke to two other advisors from other companies who both confirmed we could get a mortgage, and an independent broker managed to sort one out for us within a few weeks. If we’d listened to Gavin, we’d have missed out on buying our home and probably still be renting now. On top of that, he told us banks don’t do shared ownership mortgages, which we later found out wasn’t true when we spoke to lenders directly. Overall, the advice we got was completely wrong and could have stopped us from ever buying our home.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went from mortgage advisor to another another. No communication even though I sent emails. I went to a different company got a mortgage in 4 days thus company did nothing in 4 months. You should be a shamed. And complaining does not help either in this company. Please stay away
