My resolution this year was to get on the property ladder. I called mortgage wise in January and I was assigned Brian as my advisor. I was looking for advice on how to best position myself to buy this year. From our initial conversation, Brian’s positive attitude was contagious. Through questioning, he was able to identify that I was in a much better position than I thought. He encouraged me to consolidate my savings and start viewing properties.This shift in mindset made me start looking at ways to save more (I even cancelled a holiday I had booked). Brian encouraged me to speak to other mortgage advisors so I can compare what was on the market. The other advisors I spoke to told me I was not ready and that I needed to stop searching and concentrate on saving. I relayed to Brian that I would be halting my search but he urged me to continue. The next property I viewed, I put an offer in and I was accepted. I was hoping to buy by December, but here I am just a month after I started searching. And it’s all thanks to Brian’s advice, positive attitude and encouragement. Emma has also been brilliant in handling all the paperwork. It’s all happened so fast, and they have not skipped a beat! Their recommended solicitor Archibald Sharp have been amazing. Their response rate is rapid and I credit Heather for putting my offer in quickly as the competition was high. In my first conversation with Brian, he told me that it would happen faster than I thought, but no way did I think it would only take a month. I can’t thank you all enough.
