Whilst not one to generally write reviews for services that I have used, I am more than willing to make an exception for Laura Conning and Citygate Mortgages. The whole arena of mortgages is one best left to those who specialise in advising what is available but more importantly, best suited to the client. In our case, Laura acted with both complete professionalism and empathy in establishing our needs and then led us through the fact-finding process which the mortgage company would eventually need from us. This was a very thorough exercise and because Laura specialises in mortgages, she knew what exactly to ask (and why) which I have to say reduced the pressure and anxiety for us enormously. With all the information to hand, Laura then proceeded to hunt out the best deals that would suit us and then presented us with a selection that we could then discuss with her before making a selection. Laura then made the application on our behalf which gave us no anxiety at all because she had displayed her capabilities and professionalism many times by this time and we felt entirely comfortable with her process. The application was straightforward because she knows the mortgage companies well and how they operate. Our application was accepted without a hiccup and we were then passed on to solicitors to finalise the agreement meaning that our dealings with Laura were completed. The service that Laura and the Citygate team offered us was a huge benefit to us, was more than fairly priced and we would have absolutely no hesitation in asking her for the same service again if the needs arises.

I would highly recommend Laura and her team. We couldn’t have completed this process without her. I originally thought it would be a simple task that we could undertake ourselves, but I now realise how invaluable Laura was throughout. She provided exceptional support, patience (with me!) and guidance, taking on the entire burden of paperwork and discussions with the lender. Truly priceless. A flawless service from beginning to end and nothing was too much trouble.
