Mayfield Watford

Lovely concept or retirement complex with an indoor pool. Lovely communal areas inside. Pleasant greenery. Wonderful concept. Not sure if buildings are linked to the one with the pool which would be easier in rain. The cigarette box architecture looks oppressive outside. The flat roof is very worrying in our rainy city. My family has had expensive problems with leaks and mould from flat roofs in several houses and flats for decades as owners or tenants. Isolated but they seem to have a twice a day bus to a local supermarket. You pay monthly for the club, like any gym or country club, but it's on your doorstep and other members are your new neighbours.

My wife and i came for a look around and we got so much more. it was such a delight to meet the owners and get the chance to find out just how much they thought of the staff, 12/10. Claire was so nice and was very informative about the village life and apartments.

I was introduced to the facilities at Mayfield Watford by Oliver. He was a fund of information and patiently answered all my questions. I was more than impressed with what is on offer free of charge to residents. Pool, gym, exercise classes etc. The games are including bridge was very impressive. It is a wonderful development. I was impressed by the care and concern for the wellbeing of residents as it seemed to me to be central to life at Mayfield.

Oliver gave us a tour of the site and the show apartment, both of which were beautiful. Lunch was delicious, and you can tell the bistro team take pride in their work. Everyone was super-helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
