12 Dec 2025I have been an invester (lender) with F2F since it was founded in a tiny little office in the middle of Launceston town centre, so I have had many years of experience and a lot of dealings with F2F. Overall it has been a really good experience, all the staff have been friendly and professional, plus they are exceptional with communication, you usually receive a response the same day. However my 4 star review is because I recommended F2F to many people promoting the company when they were actively looking for more investors. I supported them, but now feel as though I have shot myself in the foot for being loyal to F2F. It is now extremely difficult to invest, because they now seem to have too many people wanting to invest. Those of us who work for a living are the ones penalised, as we don't have the luxury of sitting by the computer waiting for an investment to arise, so are immediately disadvantaged. Any new investments are 'up for grabs' during the first hour of the working day, and snatched up usually within seconds of it being put up on the portal, so if you work 9 - 5 there literally is absolutely ZERO chance of being able to invest, you may as well forget it. I have started to feel so exasperated with the unfairness to lenders wishing to invest and have suggested to F2F to bring back the queuing method they initially had right at the beginning, that way all investors would at least have the opportunity to invest. Perhaps customer satisfaction isn't at the top of their priorities or as important to them as they can now afford to lose investors, maybe they're now only interested in the big fish with big investments? F2F do generally have a very good track record, but there absolutely has been capital lost - I know, because I was one of those investors! As it happens, I also had it invested as an IFISA. I did NOT receive all the capital back that I'd invested, plus many months of missed interest payments were completely wiped out. So I cannot have that IFISA to its full value for that tax year. So beware! There absolutely is a real risk! Unfortunately I currently still have several investments which have defaulted, also with many months owing on interest payments, so I am hoping that I will get 100% of my capital returned to me, plus the interest owed to me. I have started feeling a bit apprehensive about investing 100% of my savings with F2F, so have started to reduce my F2F investments and reinvest elsewhere with high interest, where I even receive daily interest starting the same day! No waiting around! And can access it easily. That way I am spreading my risks. My advice to anyone is do NOT invest with any peer to peer platform if you are not going into it with your eyes wide open! There absolutely IS a risk of losing your money! It is a very real risk.
