Holloway Friendly

As mentioned before by a previous customer, it's the best thing I've done taking out a policy with Holloway. I suffered a fractured wrist and had to have an operation. The service was first class and I have had no problems at all making my claim. Everything has been a smooth and stress free process and I don't know what I would've done without this. Would highly recommend to anyone as I have to friends and family who need this support.

My partner has a policy that he has paid for the past 3-4 years never claiming. He had an operation back in September 2025 and got in contact about 3 weeks beforehand to get the claim in process. Once they had sorted out payment amounts and dates it had turned out that he had a 4 week waiting period (Which he didn't realise), as he was due to be off for 3/4 weeks, h would have returned to work before the period they would start paying him for, so he emailed them to cancel the claim and that he would be returning to work. They proceeded to pay him a weekly amount 2 weeks after him emailing them to cancel. He contacted them to say that he wasn't expecting this money, but because he was short of money (not paid for his time off) had agreed to pay back £50 a month starting from December, which they were happy to do. He then received a FURTHER payment 2 week later for £500 odd pounds, he called them again to tell them he shouldn't have been paid this money. They tried to add this to his payment plan of £50. He said no and then paid the full amount back, keeping the original £50 payment plan in place. Whilst in communication he was told twice he would get a call from the team to discuss his policy in more detail. He has still had no call from them. He received an email from them this week asking when his payment will be made. To which he assumed they would have arranged the payment plan from their side. He is going to cancel this plan. Paid for years, has to pay back money incorrectly paid (twice) and has suffered so much stress whilst recovering from cancer & other operations.

⭐ 1 Star I’ve been paying £30 a month to Holloway Friendly for income protection, but when I actually needed support after taking time off work, they completely let me down. Despite paying them every month, they refused to pay out and have done nothing but come up with excuse after excuse. It’s been a frustrating and disappointing experience — feels like they’re happy to take your money but disappear when it’s time to help. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for reliable income protection.

Do not use this company, incompetence of the highest level, happy to take your money but when you put in a genuine claim, with doctors notes & tax returns they pie you off for weeks, I’ve had to return to work with broken ribs early !

I hope I can give them no stars. When you call, the staff keeps giving you fake promises over the phone and then tells you something else via email. They like taking premiums every month but when its time to claim, all claims gets rejected. Keep asking same documents again and again and then give 5 working days every time you provide the same document. This income protection company needs to be audit by financial regulations. DONT BUY INCOME PROTECTION FROM THEM. They are taking £96 a month. Raise complain & its nearly a month still nothing. DONT BUY
