They supported us throughout the whole process and were consistently professional and helpful. A real highlight was their communication — Brad was incredibly responsive, often replying within 24 hours, and both he and Callum kept us clearly updated at every stage. However, I would still encourage first‑time buyers to speak to additional mortgage advisors alongside Tembo. In our case, there were updated lending conditions from a particular bank that made us eligible for a better rate — something Brad wasn’t aware of at the time. Because we had spoken to another advisor, we caught this update and were able to secure a more favourable deal. Without that, we may have missed out. I would also have appreciated a bit more specific guidance on affordability. We were given the maximum affordability figure, but as first‑time buyers, it would have been helpful to have more advice on what monthly payments might be realistically manageable based on our situation. To be fair, I didn’t explicitly ask for this information, but a little more proactive guidance would’ve been valuable. Overall: a responsive, supportive team that’s great to work with — just make sure you also seek independent comparisons and ask for more detailed affordability guidance if you’re a first‑time buyer.
