We recently remortgaged our house, freeing up some funds for renovations, and Heather and her team at North Star were absolutely outstanding during the whole process, being so knowledgeable and reassuring throughout, helping us get a decision and mortgage offer much quicker than expected. Her colleagues Matt and Erin also smoothed the process and Matt helped us find insurance protection that was thorough but that also met our budget. Would recommend North Star to anyone, and will be doing so!

I wish I could give 10 stars! What can I say. Heather and the Northstar team have are nothing short of OUTSTANDING! The daunting task of remortgaging and getting finances in order for me personally has been a huge burden, however from the very beginning after my first discussion with Heather, everything changed. After engaging this firm's services for six months, I never received a Mortgage in Principle, which hugely delayed my progress in purchasing a house. Communication efforts were ineffective. My follow-up emails regarding concerns about an approaching deadline were met with a response stating that the client should not "dictate" the firm's timing. The firm also suggested I was "welcome to use another firm" when I raised further concerns about progress. The service provided was ineffective in securing the necessary document within a six-month timeframe. I recommend potential clients verify that this firm's working style and communication approach aligns with their expectations for timely progress.

A big shout out to Heather and team at North Star Mortgages for their support through a difficult process. We found our dream home and needed to move like lightening to secure it - Heather helped us to navigate a process that did not require our property to be sold - amazing! One structural survey later and we are happily not proceeding - this house had the potential to become the stuff of nightmares! Thank you North Star. From start to finish both Heather and Brittany have been amazing. I had recently been switched by my current mortgage provider onto their variable rate which was increasing every month. Having tried some of the “major” call centre mortgage brokers and come up against computer says no answers, I was recommended to give Heather and North Star a try. I thought my only option was switching to my current providers fixed rate product. Heather advised that we look around the market anyway just to confirm that was my best option. Well, 1 week later and we had found a deal that not only saved me money but allowed me to pay off my Help To Buy loan and consolidate outstanding debts that leaves me £900 better off a month. All this was sorted and set up within 5 weeks. I cannot explain how much all the hard work and advice from North Star has helped.
