If I die should I tell you in advance?

Incredibly misleading company for travel insurance, we used them through Monzo max benefit that we paid extra for for months to help with car hire excess, only to be told once we needed it that they wouldn't cover it. Double check your 44 page small print doc for where they will catch you out... Because on their summary page they eluded to covering journeys within the UK as long as they were over 100km. Further proving insurance companies are happy to take your money but put in weird stipulations as to what "travel" consists of... Apparently a 3 day trip within the UK doesn't count.

Extremely Disappointed with Zurich’s Claims Handling Process No stars I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Zurich Insurance following a public liability claim. I submitted all the required documents in early May and was told I would receive a decision within 40 working days. That deadline passed on 3 July — and I’m still waiting. Despite chasing them several times, I received conflicting explanations: first that they were investigating, then that they hadn’t received the necessary information due to “technical issues.” It’s now been over two months since my submission, and there’s still no clear answer or resolution. The lack of communication, the contradictory updates, and the failure to follow their own published timeframes have left me feeling completely let down. I expected far better from a major insurer. This experience has caused unnecessary stress and wasted time — I would not recommend Zurich based on this handling. I am updating this, they have now come back to inform me that there will be a review by a medical company who will request access to my medical records even though I have provided paperwork from my visit to urgent care. This is after the 40 working days. They say they may now take up to 60 working days. They clearly left my case to the last minute and now seem to think it okay to extend it. When an accident happens on Gail’s bakery premises through no fault of my own and then I have to persistently chase it makes you feel fed up. The person dealing with my claim writes in a breezy carefree manner as if it is totally acceptable to delay everything. I find this person and company to be incompetent. Don’t hire them.

This is a shout - out review, and is PURELY for the credit of Charlotte C and NOT ZURICH. So 5 stars to Charlotte! 😊 I currently can't offer a review for Zurich until I have received my pension, which won't be for a few years from now! However, what I can say though, is that their system for drawing lump sums could be open to manipulation! Not saying it will be but after several conversations with management and customer service, I have not been left with a feeling of confidence as to whether my pot suddenly/conveniently drops on the day that they calculate my balance! 🤔 Back to Charlotte C. She is brilliant and not only found out why I can't access my portal (balance checker), due to two accounts being open, and at least three previous CS couldn't. If you want to cash your pension in, you are supposed to trust them as to what the current balance is! Despite having the option to chose a "draw day", this figure is based upon the end of that working day. At the moment, they still will not give you a courtesy call and check as to whether you're happy or not to still go ahead! This suggests that their system is open to corruption! It could coincidently go down that day!! I'm currently working with them to see if they will offer me more control or agree a minimum price to cash in on! Now if they did that, this would be superb customer service! I will offer an update in due course! People, this is your money, so look out for yourselves! Hey! I thought I wasn't giving a review on Zurich lol. . . I will do another review once I've eventually taken my pension! Time will tell . . . All the best, Nigel
