Dreadful company, are keeping my pension lump sum and have told me lie after lie about it!. Have sent 2 complaints in writing but had no response at all in a month!. Have telephoned them many times and have only ever reached a call centre with predictable results!. Always, rude, surly and completely unhelpful!. Can't approach the Financial Ombudsman until months and months have elapsed!, which strongly suggests that they wont be of any use anyway?!. Whatever you do DO NOT conduct ANY business with these people under ANY circumstances. Phoenix life are ,at best,- incompetent, lazy, dishonest, rude and unreliable.

What a bunch of fraudsters ! I have been trying for 6 months to access my small pension with them, with no joy. Multiple phonecalls, multiple forms, both online and by post. Nothing. So I decided to transfer to another company. Now they are denying that I even have a pension policy with them. I have my policy documents right here in front of me, whilst I write this review. Utter disgrace of a company. You should be ashamed of yourselves keeping people's money. I have now issued a dated letter of formal complaint,so the Ombudsman can get involved.

Absolutely disgusting company. Trying to get my late husbands pension. Told I would receive the payments and how much. Then told by someone else I wasn't to recieve it. So by telling me they have broken data protection laws. I recorded the calls..

I’ve been waiting months for a life insurance payout. Everytime I call I get a new request for more documents and I have supplied these each time and still have not received any payments, despite them saying it will be due in 3-4 days via CHAPS. They give false promises after false promises. I’m fairly sure they are deliberately trying to avoid a payout. Avoid opening anything with this group !!

0 stars!! They have got my late mother’s pension, I’ve done everything they’ve asked of me and everytime I ring them to see what is happening- I only then get a letter sent out to me. I’ve never known anything like it, I shouldn’t have to ring up & chase after things from a company. It’s very strange and I’ve had to deal with all sorts of companies since she passed- never had to keep ringing!! Starting to think it’s all bull especially with all the one star reviews this company has! Don’t go with this company unless you like chasing after money that is entitled to you or a loved one!!
