After a rocky start where the law firm I was assigned to left my file inactive for almost two weeks without any communication, Joshua Harper from Homeward Legal personally stepped in and handled the situation with great professionalism. He ensured things were resolved quickly, arranged a goodwill refund, and helped me get the firm to make contact and move my file from in abeyance to active. I also want to mention Christopher Pearcy, who was extremely helpful at the very beginning in finding a firm that suited my needs, especially one that didn't require expensive certified translations. The start of the process was stressful because of the firm's unresponsiveness, but the support I've received from both Christopher Pearcy and Joshua Harper has really made a difference. I appreciate that they took my concerns seriously and worked hard to get everything back on track. Without them, the firm would probably have taken even longer to respond, so it's really good to have Homeward Legal on your side to support you through it all. I didn't give 5 stars only because I believe Homeward Legal could have stepped in a bit more firmly the first time I mentioned that, even after 8 days from paying on account, my file was still in abeyance. At that point, being told to wait another day or two felt too tolerant toward the firm.

I have used them recently and they have been awful when it comes to communication. My solicitor owes me £100 and although it's been 2 months now I keep having to chase them and explain the situation every time. They keep "escalating it" but nothing is happening and it just seems like they are kicking the can down the road. I would seriously avoid this company as it's pretty much just a middle man between you and the solicitor. Although this is meant to make things easier, due to their lack of communication you end up waiting months like I did to get any response and have to phone up. Only to be told "I will speak to my manager". Just spend that extra 1 hour doing some research on local solicitors and save yourself the hassle of having to deal with them.

Couldn't imagine having a worse experience - I beg you please do not make the mistake I made and fall for the cheap price and charming salesmen - this company is a bad choice for your conveyancing. If you are used to the conveyancing process or have bought houses before you may find homeward to be a good cheap option, but if it's your first purchase or you are at all unsure of the process, absolutely avoid Homeward legal at all costs, you will truly regret using this company. They use very dodgy solictors - for example when I was first assigned a solicitor he was not registered with the SRA (governing body for solicitors). Every step of the process felt like an absolute slog, having to move absolute mountains just to get an email response to the most basic questions. Once this started up with the solicitor I contacted homeward legal to see if they were able to help with communication or getting a registered solicitor. They ignored all of my emails except 2, laughed off my issues and said my solicitor was "their mate, we work with him often" and were not able to resolve any issues or help with communication. All issues came to a head on day of completion, when my solicitor, who had not confirmed the final monies paid to him, completely dissapeared. Myself, a family member and the estate agent all spent over 2 hours on hold trying to speak to him. Just at the point we all believed we had been scammed and money stolen, and natwest were opening a fraud investigation, he reappearred at 16:40, 20 minutes until chance of completion was lost, and confirmed payment was made with no apology. I contacted Homeward legal several times to try and get some help reaching "their mate" but they deflected and were unwilling or unable to help. Using homeward legal was I believe the worst decision I have ever made in my life, it made what should have been a positive, exciting time, into 7 months of anxiety and worry. At no point did it ever feel like the conveyancing was being dealt with correctly.

The no completion no fee guarantee makes them different from others. They are our go to company for obtaining conveyancing services. Highly recommended.

As a first time buyer I have found Homeward Legal to be excellent value and very supportive.
